HEMEROCALLIS 'Chicago Scintillation'
Chicago Scintillation Daylily, Daylily
The daylily is a perennial that everyone knows and loves. It is most revered for its reliability, ease of growth and beauty. The summer blooming ‘Chicago Scintillation’ offers large blooms of purple edged in creamy white. They are day-blooming and arise from neat clumps of green strap-like leaves that become fully dormant in winter.
Daylilies are easy to grow if provided with full to partial sun, and average soil with good drainage. Their clumps spread over time and may need to be divided every three to four years. After plants bloom, it is wise to shear back their foliage to allow for a fresh flush of growth. Enjoy these tried and true ornamentals in mixed beds and borders, containers and large mass plantings.
