Family

Liliaceae

Botanical Name

HEMEROCALLIS 'Eenie Weenie'

Plant Common Name

Daylily, Eenie Weenie Daylily

General Description

Eenie Weenie daylily is a dwarf herbaceous perennial. Neat clumps of bright green strap-like leaves appear in mid spring. Its single, lily-like flowers of yellow have a green throat and appear in late spring atop leafless stems. These are mildly fragrant and attractive to many pollinators. Plants will rebloom later in the season with care.

This daylily is easy to grow if provided with full to part sun and fertile to average, well drained soil. Its clumps slowly spread over time and need to be divided ever two to three years. After plants bloom, it is wise to shear back their foliage to allow for a fresh flush of growth. Enjoy 'Eenie Weenie' in mixed beds and borders, containers and large mass plantings.
