HEMEROCALLIS 'Pardon Me'
Daylily, Pardon Me Daylily
Pardon Me daylily is a highly ornamental compact perennial. Neat clumps of bright green strap-like leaves appear in mid spring. Its single, lily-like flowers of brilliant red have a yellow-green throat and appear in summer atop leafless stems. These are mildly fragrant and attractive to many pollinators. Plants may rebloom later in the season.
This perennial is easy to grow if provided with full to part sun and fertile to average, well drained soil. Daylily clumps slowly spread over time and need to be divided ever two to three years. After plants bloom, it is wise to shear back their foliage to allow for a fresh flush of growth. Enjoy these tried and true ornamentals in mixed beds and borders, containers and large mass plantings.
