HEMEROCALLIS 'Preppy Pink'
Daylily, Preppy Pink Daylily
Preppy Pink daylily is a highly ornamental tall perennial. Neat clumps of bright green strap-like leaves appear in mid spring. Its single, lily-like flowers of rose-pink have white midribs and deep rose eye and yellow green throat. These appear in summer atop leafless stems and are lightly fragrant and attractive to many pollinators.
This perennial is easy to grow if provided with full to part sun and fertile to average, well drained soil. Daylily clumps slowly spread over time and need to be divided ever two to three years. After plants bloom, it is wise to shear back their foliage to allow for a fresh flush of growth. Enjoy these tried and true ornamentals in mixed beds and borders and large mass plantings.
