Family

Saxifragaceae

Botanical Name

HEUCHERA( Bressingham Hybrid)

Plant Common Name

Bressingham Hybrid Coralbells, Coralbells

General Description

Heuchera ‘Bressingham Hybrids’ offer low, rounded mounds of marbled, silver and mint-green foliage which remain fresh and attractive throughout spring, summer and fall. Airy wands of tiny, tubular flowers in shades of red, pink and white appear in profusion from late spring through midsummer. The ‘Bressingham Hybrids’ are a seed-grown strain developed from the North American native Heuchera micrantha, an adaptable species hailing from the Pacific Northwest.

Although tolerant of a variety of conditions including moderately dry shade, Heuchera ‘Bressingham Hybrids’ prefer reasonably moist, fertile, well-drained soil and a site receiving partial sun to partial shade. Deadheading spent flowers stalks will encourage heavier flowering. These versatile Heuchera may be used in perennial borders, woodland gardens, as container subjects, and even as groundcovers. Bees and hummingbirds are drawn to the bright blooms, which also make excellent cut flowers.
