The ‘Red Heart’ cultivar of Rose of Sharon flowers in mid to late summer with single, white blooms that have a red center.
Rose of Sharon is easily grown and is used for hedges, in mixed borders, and as a specimen plant. It prefers well-drained soil and a place in full sun to bloom well. Prune back in early spring to encourage bushiness.
