HOSTA 'Diamond Tiara'
Diamond Tiara Plantain Lily, Hosta, Plantain Lily
Hostas are herbaceous perennials grown for their leaves, mounding habit, toughness and tolerance for shade. The pretty, variegated ‘Diamond Tiara’ is a small to medium-sized hosta that forms neat clumps of oval to heart-shaped wavy leaves that are medium green accented with a wide white margin. Dark lavender bell-shaped flowers appear on stems held above the foliage in midsummer.
Like most hostas, ‘Diamond Tiara’ grows best in full to partial shade and tolerates a wide range of well-drained soils. It has average water needs and prefers even moisture. Use ‘Diamond Tiara’ for contrasts of size, texture and colors in shaded perennial gardens and woodlands, or planted en masse as an herbaceous groundcover.
