HOSTA 'Golden Fanfare'
Golden Fanfare Plantain Lily, Hosta, Plantain Lily
Hostas are herbaceous perennials grown for their attractive leaves, tolerance for shade, toughness, and mounding habit. This one, ‘Golden Fanfare,' is notable for its soft-yellow leaves and glowing presence in a shady spot. It is a medium-sized plant and makes an open clump of leaves that are wide, flat, and heart-shaped. The flower are lavender and funnel shaped. They appear above the leaves in clusters atop leafless stems.
Like most hostas, ‘Golden Fanfare,' grows best in partial shade to full shade, tolerates a wide range of well-drained soils, and prefers average, even moisture. Use it for bold contrasts of size and texture in shaded perennial gardens and woodlands, or massed as a groundcover.
