Hostas are herbaceous perennials grown for their attractive leaves, mounding habit, tolerance for shade, and toughness. This one, ‘Pizzazz,’ forms neat clumps of heart-shaped leaves are that have good substance and are wavy, corrugated, and frosty blue-green with wide, irregular creamy-white margins. White bell-to-funnel-shaped flowers appear on leafless stems held above the foliage in midsummer.
Like most hostas, ‘Pizzazz’ grows best in full to partial shade, tolerates a wide range of well-drained soils, and prefers average, even moisture. Use it for contrasts of texture and color in shaded perennial gardens or massed as a groundcover.
