Hosta, Plantain Lily, Striptease Plantain Lily
Hostas are herbaceous perennials grown for their attractive leaves, tolerance for shade, toughness, and mounding habit. This one, ‘Striptease,' has smooth, ovoid leaves that taper to a point and are dark-green with a distinctive chartreuse center edged in white that extends to the point. The flowers are pale lavender and held atop leafless stems above the leaves in summer.
Like most hostas, ‘Striptease’ grows best in partial shade to full shade, tolerates a wide range of well-drained soils, and prefers average, even moisture. Use it for contrasts of texture and habit in shaded perennial gardens and woodlands, or massed as a groundcover.
