HOSTA 'Undulata Erromena'
Erromena Plantain Lily, Hosta, Plantain Lily
Hostas are herbaceous perennials grown for their attractive leaves, tolerance for shade, toughness, and mounding habit. This one, ‘Undulata Erromena' is a medium-sized plant that forms a spreading, airy clump of oval, wavy leaves tapered to a point. The leaves are green and smooth, with lightly indented veins, and held above the ground on long petioles (leaf stems). They have some sun resistance. The flowers are pale lavender and borne in clusters on stalks that rise above the leaves in late summer.
Like most hostas, ‘Undulata Erromena'’ grows best in partial shade to full shade, tolerates a wide range of well-drained soils, and prefers average, even moisture. Use it for contrasts of silhouette and texture in shaded perennial gardens and woodlands, or massed as a groundcover.
