HOSTA 'Zager's White Edge'
Hosta, Plantain Lily, Zager's White Edge Plantain Lily
Hostas are herbaceous perennials grown for their attractive leaves, tolerance for shade, toughness, and mounding habit. This one, 'Zager’s White Edge,’ is a medium-sized to large hosta that makes a mounded clump of narrow, forest-green leaves with irregular white margins. The flowers are lavender and borne in clusters on stalks that rise above the leaves in mid-summer.
Like most hostas, 'Zager’s White Edge' grows best in partial shade to full shade, tolerates a wide range of well-drained soils, and prefers average, even moisture. Use it for contrasts of color and texture in shaded perennial gardens and woodlands, or massed as a groundcover.
