Edging Lobelia, Laguna™ Trailing Dark Blue Edging Lobelia

General Description

The patented Laguna™ Trailing Dark Blue is a heavy blooming bedding lobelia with a well-branched trailing habit. Its flowers are intense dark blue with pale throats.

Usually grown as an annual, edging lobelia is a heavy blooming tender perennial that originates from South Africa. It prefers cool weather and blooms all season if conditions are favorable.

Laguna™ Trailing Dark Blue produces masses of small, charming tubular blue flowers with three prominent lobes at the mouth and pale throats. The blooms appear on trailing plants with fine green leaves.

Edging lobelia prefers full to partial sun and well-drained soil that is moist and fertile. It is not tolerant of high heat. During hot spells it may partially die back but will revive and re-bloom as the weather cools. This is an excellent plant for border edges, rock gardens, containers and hanging baskets.

Potential health hazards are associated with lobelia. For further information, visit http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/depts/hort/consumer/poison/Lobelsp.htm .
