General Description
Trumpet Honeysuckle is a vigorous deciduous to evergreen vine that is native to the central eastern United States and southern Canada. Its leaves emerge purple-red, change to blue-green and have no notable fall color. Throughout summer it bears red to yellow tubular blooms that attract hummingbirds and are followed by red berry-like fruits. These vines prefer a sunny location with well drained, average soil. Trumpet honeysuckle is a beautiful native that looks best when grown on a trellis, fence or arbor.
