African daisy, is a bushy, evergreen flowering shrub that is native of South Africa. It blooms all season, producing unusual daisies of icy white with violet or indigo hues and dark blue centers. These contrast nicely with their pretty dark gray-green, lance-shaped foliage.
Not surprisingly, African daisy is drought tolerant and performs best in full sun and well drained, average soil, but it prefers regions where summers are cool. In temperate climates, this perennial is commonly grown as an "annual" bedding or container plant, but it is also ideal for foundations and edging.
