General Description

‘Patty’s Plum’ oriental poppies are clump-forming perennials with finely divided, hairy leaves that bloom profusely in early summer. Magnificent bowl[-shaped purple blooms are slightly pleated and have a distinct purple-black blotch at the base of each petal. Foliage dies back after bloom and regrows in the fall. Several plants massed together create a stunning display. Poppies grow best in well-draining garden loam in full sun.
