General Description

Large, rounded flower clusters on compact plants are the crowning glory of the Elite Series of zonal geranium. Boasting robust, rounded but well-branching habits, bright green scalloped leaves and huge clusters of flowers that come in six different colors, they bloom continuously if well-maintained. These hybrids are grown from seed and are early-to-flower, starting blooming 85-95 days after germination.

These tender perennials have fragrant, somewhat fleshy evergreen leaves that are rounded with wavy and scalloped teeth on their edges and are green, rarely with zonation patterns (circular brown banding). Their showy flowers are borne in big terminal clusters. Flower colors include red, white, rose-pink, salmon, magenta, and scarlet.

Vigorous and easy to grow, Elite Series zonal geraniums grow best in full to partial sun and average to fertile soil that drains well. Overwatering can result in root or crown rot. These hybrids are everblooming and require regular deadheading for best appearance and flower production. They can be planted in the foreground of mixed beds and borders, containers or as edging rows. Although frost-tender, they will rot and deteriorate in the humidity and rains in the tropical rainy season, therefore in such regions grow them in the winter dry season.
