RHAPHIOLEPIS indica 'Moness'(ENCHANTRESS®' PINK)
This entry has yet to be reviewed and approved by L2G editors.
Drought tolerant and attractive year-round, Enchantress Pink® Indian hawthorn is a compact broadleaf-evergreen shrub that can trace its origins to southern China. It produces clusters of fragrant, large, rose-pink flowers on mounding plants in spring and intermittently through summer. The leathery, glossy, dark green, lance-shaped leaves develop a coppery tinge in winter.
Indian hawthorn prospers in full sun and fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It is tolerant of pollution, salt spray and drought once established. Use 'Moness' as a low hedge or as a backdrop for a flower border. It can also be grown under glass in cooler areas.
