Rosa 'Chrysler Imperial'
Chrysler Imperial Rose, Hybrid Tea Rose
Hybrid tea roses have large, exquisitely fashioned long stemmed flowers that epitomize the ideal "rose" for many gardeners. Throughout the season the cultivar 'Chrysler Imperial' produces highly fragrant, fully double (45 petals), red roses that assume a bluish tint as they age. These appear above dark green, glossy foliage.
Hybrid tea roses are relatively cold hardy and thrive best in temperate climates with enough winter chill to allow them to go dormant. They like full sun and moist, fertile, well drained soil, with no competition from other woody plant roots. Tea roses make superb cut flowers and look great planted in any sunny mixed border.
