Plant Common Name

Floribunda Rose

General Description

An upright floribunda rose, Sun Sprite blooms in flushes from late spring to fall with clusters of highly fragrant, double (extra petals), deep-yellow flowers. Also known as ‘Korresia,’ this deciduous, much-branched shrub grows in a mound that is wider than tall. The leaves are glossy and dark green and have good disease resistance.

Like most roses, Sun Sprite grows and flowers best in full sun and average, well-drained soil. It needs a steady supply of nutrients and water. Mulch the plant to enrich the soil and preserve moisture. Water it by watering the soil; avoid wetting the leaves. To prolong flowering, remove spent flowers and prune spent stems to a leaf with five leaflets and a bud at its base. A new stem will arise and bloom when it matures. Use ‘Korresia’ as a specimen plant in a mixed border, against a south facing wall or fence, or grouped to match the scale of a large yard.
