Proven Winners

Family

Rosaceae

Botanical Name

ROSA( OSO EASY® SERIES)

Plant Common Name

Groundcover Rose

General Description

Floriferous, hardy, and disease-resistant, Oso Easy® roses provide months of fragrant bloom but require little care.

Compound leaves with glossy deep-green leaflets cover the thorny, upright to trailing branches from spring to frost. Clusters of single, semi-double or double roses open in flushes from spring to fall. The blooms are fragrant, a feature lacking in many low-maintenance roses. Cultivars in the Oso Easy® Series flower in shades of pink, rose, white, salmon-orange, rose-fuchsia, pale yellow and peach-apricot. Some produce colorful rose hips. This series includes both shrub and groundcover types.

Oso Easy® roses do best in full to partial sun and fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Plants require little pruning. Watch for insect pests such as Japanese beetles and rose slugs. Fungal diseases are usually not a problem. Intermittent fertilizing and regular water will help keep these roses in flower and in health. Oso Easy® roses make ideal subjects for containers, mixed borders, informal hedges, and groundcover plantings.
