Irresistible Rose, Miniature Rose
Introduced in 1989, this miniature rose bears small white double blooms on compact plants.
The knee-high, thorny stems of this hybrid rose are furnished with compound, medium-green leaves. From late spring to frost it bears petite, white, pink-blushed blooms that resemble miniature tea roses. The solitary or clustered flowers are lightly to moderately fragrant. Most modern roses bloom most prolifically if spent flowers are removed. In hot, subtropical climates, roses bloom primarily during the cooler winter months.
Roses prefer full to partial sun, moderate temperatures and perfectly drained, slightly acid soil with average to good fertility. Their leaves are susceptible to fungal diseases in humid locations. Give plants ample spacing and an occasional pruning to promote air circulation and discourage fungal infection. Roses are also susceptible to a suite of viral, bacterial, and insect problems, so it is wise to select a robust and resistant cultivar.
This miniature rose works well in containers, mixed borders, and patio plantings.
