Rosa 'Wekdocpot'(DREAM COME TRUE™) PPAF
Dream Come True™ Rose, Floribunda Rose
Golden blossoms blushed with pink and ruby cover this vigorous grandiflora rose. Dream Come True™ was bred by John David Pottschmidt of Cincinnati Ohio and introduced in 2009 by Weeks Roses of Pomona, California. This deciduous rose is tough, disease resistant and produces lots of fully double blooms ideal for cutting.
Dream Come True™ is a grandiflora rose with a vigorous, bushy habit and stems lined with sharp woody thorns. It has shiny, leathery, deep green leaves. It blooms from early summer through frost with good care and maintenance. Flowering may occur earlier in southern zones. Its large, double flowers are bright gold blushed with ruby and pink and have light fragrance. The blooms have up to 40 petals and darken a bit as they age.
Roses prefer full to partial sun, moderate temperatures and perfectly drained, slightly acid soil with average to good fertility. They grow best in places with slightly dry climates, because such climates disfavor the fungal diseases that plague them. For this reason, it is important to maintain good airflow within and between planted roses through good planting and pruning practices, which will dissuade fungal attacks. Roses are rife with pest and disease problems. Fortunately, cultivars like Dream Come True™ are bred to be disease resistant.
Grandiflora roses are a garden must. They are perfect for sunny foundations, mixed borders and cutting gardens. Especially pretty, floriferous cultivars like this one.
