Helping You Become a More Successful Gardener
ROSMARINUS officinalis 'Huntington Carpet'
Rosemary is one of the great culinary herbs for the garden. With its dense, spreading habit the cultivar 'Huntington Carpet' has ornamental appeal which matches its herbal offerings. This creeping, evergreen shrub is native to the Mediterranean. Throughout the year its dark green to gray-green needle-like leaves are potently fragrant from afar. In mid-spring to early summer, small but appealing edible flowers of blue appear.
Rosemary will prosper in locations with full sun and perfectly drained, average to poor soil. This multipurpose culinary herb may be enjoyed in containers, mixed borders, as a ground cover, and is a great choice for covering slopes for erosion control.
