Crassulaceae
Sedum reflexum 'Angelina' PPAF
Rock Stonecrop
A bright-leaved form of a robust, creeping, evergreen perennial from Europe, 'Angelina' makes a fine rock garden or container plant for cold climates. It spreads via rooting stems to form fine-textured mats of bright yellow-green, needle like foliage that darkens to bronze and red in very cold weather.
In early summer it bears branched clusters of yellow star-like flowers. These are attractive to bumblebees and butterflies. A rock garden favorite, it asks for full sun and porous relatively infertile soil. Grow 'Angelina' in alpine troughs or well drained shallow terracotta and bonsai pots for beautiful textures and colors year around. It often self sows.
