General Description
The name "Kong" should say it all. This series of coleus have enormous leaves. Coleus are popular tender perennials that are planted for their spectacularly colored, often variegated, foliage. They are shade-loving and originate from southeast Asia. Where hardy, they will grow as upright to mounding evergreen shrubs. Members of the Kong Series come in a wide variety of colors, such as rose, scarlet and green.
Coleus grow best in fertile, moist, well-drained soil and partial shade. Where summers are cool or moisture consistent, they may be grown in full sun. For best foliage color, remove flower buds from your coleus before they have a chance to bloom. Coleus are excellent foliage plants for mixed beds, borders and containers.
