General Description
Black-eyed susan vine is a tropical perennial vine, which is often grown as a tender perennial in temperate climates. This fast-growing African native has distinctly fuzzy, arrowhead-shaped, medium green leaves with winged stems. It is everblooming and produces many tubular flowers in shades of yellow, orange, apricot or white with nearly black centers.
Plant this vine in a site with full to part sun and well-drained soil. Partial sun is preferred where summers are hot. Black-eyed susan vine may be invasive in tropical regions. Plant it in hanging baskets, containers or along fences and trellises.
