A rounded, dwarf selection of Mexican sunflower, the fantastic 'Fiesta Del Sol' has deep green leaves as the backdrop for vibrant reddish orange daisies from early summer to frost. An annual that reseeds itself, it is a hybrid developed from plants native to Central America.
The deep green leaves are spade-shaped and jaggedly edged. With the warmth of spring, summer and fall, the stem tips bear golf ball-sized daisies that attract butterflies and bees. A golden yellow center is surrounded by orange to reddish orange petals.
Grow Fiesta Del Sol Mexican sunflower in full to partial sun exposures in any average garden soil that is not wet. This plant appreciates heat when growing. A terrific cutflower, use it as an accent annual in the cutting garden, mixed border or in a colorful summertime container.
