Family

Liliaceae

Botanical Name

TULIPA 'Apricot Beauty'

Plant Common Name

Apricot Beauty Triumph Tulip, Apricot Beauty Tulip

General Description

What would spring be without tulips? The diversity of color, texture and interest of these hardy blooming bulbs are unmatched in the early season perennial border. The popular selection, 'Apricot Beauty', flowers in early spring, and features showy soft peachy-salmon petals/tepals that curve upward to form a cup.

Tulips originate from temperate regions across Europe and Asia. These are often short-lived bulbs and may be treated as annuals. They prefer full to part sun and require average to fertile soil. After blooming, it is good to let their green tops photosynthesize to allow them to store food in the bulb for next spring’s display. Tulips offer spring color to any container or sunny garden and are great as cut flowers.
