Family

Caprifoliaceae

Botanical Name

VIBURNUM dentatum 'Morton'(NORTHERN BURGUNDY™)

Plant Common Name

Arrowwood Viburnum, Northern Burgundy™ Viburnum, Southern Arrowwood

General Description

A robust crop of fall fruit and deep burgundy fall foliage color set Northern Burgundy ™ arrowwood apart from the rest. Hardy and reliable, this large to medium shrub is amenable to many growing conditions and soil types. It has a rounded to spreading habit and distinctive dark green leaves, with coarsely toothed edges, that turn a beautiful burgundy color in fall. In late spring to early summer, it bears flattened clusters of creamy white flowers followed by many blue-black berry-like fruits that are attractive to birds.

Grow arrowwood in locations with full to part sun and average soil. Northern Burgundy ™ is well suited for informal hedges, screens or foundation plantings.
