A hardy bulbous perennial found from Utah to California to British Columbia, small camas bears steepled clusters of starry flowers atop tall leafless stems in late spring. The cultivar 'Blue Melody' has medium-blue flowers and cream-edged leaves. Somewhat shorter than Camassia leichtlinii, it has six pointed segments, five of which are grouped toward the top of the flower.
